About Liberal Index

Liberal Index is an indicator comparing freedoms in all countries of the world. Although not strictly scientific in nature it allows to figure out quickly what is the situation in a given country. It is a simplification and not a good tool to draw definitive judgments but it permits capture an outline of the global situation. The emerging picture is surprising. Freedom is a collection of freedoms which are not always there where you would expect to find them.

The data come mostly from the websites of organizations and institutions of international reputation. Among the more significant are, inter alia:

and, of course, Wikipedia which deserves special thanks. We also use extensively articles and entries from the Internet if these articles have characteristics of integrity, honesty, and are devoid of political agitation.

 

About Us

We are an informal group of people who value freedom. We are not affiliated with any public institution or political party. We come together in a simple way: by Internet. If the matter of liberties and issues that we raise are of importance to you we welcome cooperation.

The originator, the author of the website, and the person responsible for the first edition of Liberal Index 2014 is Kuba Kalinski.
