5 Use, possession, trafficking, cultivation and production of all drugs are legal. 4 Use, possession, sale and cultivation of marijuana are legal. 3 Possession of marijuana or some other drug (cocaine, mushrooms) in small quantities is legal. 2 Drugs are generally illegal but: 1. Possession is exempt from punishment, or 2. Cultivation and use of a specific drug is tolerated (cannabis, cocaine, opium, ... ) or 3. There is a high degree of social acceptance for drug use. 1 Drugs are illegal, crimes are prosecuted. 0 Capital punishment for some drug-related offenses. |
Index Description
Data comes from years 2005 to 2014. We are firmly in the position that “the war on drugs”, and not the drugs, is one of the major problems of our times. The state of legal matter and the state of social education are both disastrous in the most part of the world. The indicator takes into account all drugs and freedom involving use, possession, trafficking and production or cultivation of drugs. The war on drugs is a war against humanity.
